Does Your Chest Need A Lift?

Just think, you have the power to look 10 or even 20 pounds thinner without involving a Stairmaster or Slimfast. I m not trying to sell you on a magic pill it s easier than you think.

It s a wonderful invention called a bra . Well, it *is* wonderful if you are wearing the right size. If not, it could be making you look and feel less attractive than you really are. Who needs that?

If you haven t checked to see if you re wearing the right size since junior high, you definitely are in need of a bra-makeover. Wearing the right bra will be the easiest thing you do to look better. (No wax, needles, bleach, or girdles are involved.)

So how do you assess your bra s performance? Easy. A well-fitting bra should:

*Propel your breasts forward not down.
*Sit at the same height as the back of your bra. If not, it s not fitting correctly.
*Cause your cleavage should be halfway between your elbows and shoulders.

An ill-fitting bra, on the other hand, causes the following problems:

*Too small, and your breasts will be spilling out of the cups. (Get a larger cup.)
*Too big, your breasts will be swimming in the cups. (Get a smaller cup.)
*A slipping bra strap is a sign that you re wearing the wrong size. Straps should stay put! Try a smaller band size.

Okay, now that you ve realized that you probably do not own one single bra that fits (the truth hurts -- but not as much as a bad bra!) here s how to find the right one.

How To Find The Right Bra

Don t worry, this won t require much time or brainpower. You won t even have to consult a professional and expose yourself to a store-clerk s cold hands and forced smile. Besides, they don t always get it right anyway. (They won t be wearing your bra after all.) Here s a fool-proof way to find your perfect size:

1. Keep your current bra on and, using a tape measure, measure around the largest part of your chest. Don t try to shave inches off or make it too loose you won t be reporting it to the Playboy Magazine. Write your number down. For example, let s say it s a nice and healthy 46 inches.

2. Take a measurement of the area below your breasts, around your ribs. Again, try to relax and get an accurate number. Write it down. Let s say it s 36 inches. Now, take this number and add 5 to it, rounding up to the closest whole number, which in my case would be 42. This number is your band size.

3. Okay, now we re going to subtract measurement #2 from measurement #1 and this will give you your cup size. For example, 46-42 = 4.

Now, here s the easy part. Match up your number to your cup size (letter). Here s the list:
A cup = 1; B cup = 2; C cup = 3; D cup = 4; DD cup = 5; and DDD cup = 6.

So, given my example measurements, my bra size would be 42D. (Dang, I ve got a rack!;-)

Not All Bras Are Created Equal

Okay, for you larger-chested ladies, I have to give credit to the underwire bra. I mean, what other device can do such magic with your body? An underwire supports and lifts where others fail, and this makes you look so much slimmer and can even help with back pain. If you haven t tried one, buy one today, and thank me later.

Meanwhile, reserve the cozy, cottony sans-wire bras for housework when no one is looking. (Or for when you don t care if anyone is looking whenever that might be.) I m sorry, but you if you re a C cup or larger, get a nice stock-pile of underwires so your ladies can get a lift on a daily basis. You will look so much better and, more importantly, you will *feel* better.

Now that you know your size, you can save a bundle and some valuable time by shopping online. There are online stores that cater specifically to larger sizes way better than what you can find in the mall.
