The Beginning of the Prada Handbag by Melissa Peterman
Since 1913, Prada, was an Italian family leather company. In 1978, Miuccia Bianchi Prada, born 1949, as Miuccia Bianchi, but was adopted by her aunt which gave her the last name of Prada. As the daughter of the Prada leather name, Miuccia changed the look of the family business from luggage to luxury. Even her first design was a Prada handbag, made of nylon fabric that was a black and waterproof that was an instant success. Focusing on minimalistic styles, some call a little more decorated than a uniform, Miuccia sense of style is clean and well made. Many times copying her own sense of style and avoiding fashion trends, Prada handbags are uniquely Miuccia's sense of style. Popular in Japan, Prada handbags as well as clothing are a big hit because of their minimalistic style. Basic colors of cream, black, green, yellow and brown also make Prada minimalistic. Besides the classic Prada handbag, she created a menswear line as well as a lingerie line. Miuccia is famed for experimenting with different types of fabrics and always creating a quality product that lasts, is functional and stylish. Many other Italian designers have copied Miuccia's sense of style. With basic camel and black and grey colors with function that don't shout "hello I am fashionable!" The sole owner of all of her boutiques and mega stores, Miuccia is one of Europe's most influential and successful women with a net worth of 1.9 billion dollars. The previous styles of wearing fashion as a loud statement has been replaced by wearing fashion that only people who know what you're wearing will know what it is. The Prada handbag is still found on supermodel arms and decorated red carpet women. The signature silver triangle is the undeniable symbol of the Prada brand name. Even as people get crafty and create knock-offs of the wanted name brand of Prada, it only helps its success as a coveted label to own. Even today, the Prada Handbag refuses to go out of style, functional and fashionable. Today's style is patent leather, shiny metallics and bold colors. Even though Prada handbags may never venture anywhere near the bold colors of bright yellow or turquoise, you may see some shiny black or shiny white shades. Large Prada handbags are still high fashion. Big enough to hold an entire change of clothes, maybe its nice to have your carry-on bag substitute itself as luggage as well as purse. Miuccia claims that her husband is the business side of her company and she continues to focus on the art side of things. Her latest exhibit is a collection of skirts that she made called "the waist down." All of her clothing stores are built around a high sense of style and are architecturally flawless in design. She is an artist with her clothes and places her art in a gallery like setting. You can be sure when you look for her future designs of the latest Prada handbags, they will be functional, minimalistic in style and classically Miuccia.
